Working as an integrated designer reporting to the design manager, my time at Austin Reed saw an equal split between business as usual print and digital projects. From vinyl’s to in store POS graphics and online sales packages, theres pretty much no area of the retail design landscape that was left uncovered with this role.
I was initially approached by startup digital magazine FTPDigital with regards to completing a UX audit of their initial digital offering. This saw me engage with their website in the same way a normal user would, and send back an intensive audit which highlighted all areas for improvement.
Whilst auditing the website I would make judgements based on WCAG 2.0 accessibility guidelines along with general web best practices whilst looking for common dark patterns in the user experience.
Due to the success of the project I was then given the task of drafting high-fidelity mockups for my vision of the websites best direction. The screenshots you see here today are the results of that exercise
